AB Label

(Agriculture Biologique)

Created in 1985 in France and in 1991 in Europe

The AB label is used to identify food products that are manufactured in such a way that is animal and environmentally-friendly (no pesticides, synthetic fertilisers or GMOs). The AB logo (1985) is optional / the European Organic label is mandatory as of 1 July 2010. These two logos guarantee that products are 100% organic, that they comply with exact specifications and are regularly checked by an independent body. And processed products, guaranteed additive-free, must contain at least 95% organic ingredients (where organic is not available).
